Correction comes before the “look”

Professional colour work begins by making shots technically coherent, not by applying one preset to every camera and lighting condition.

Balance

Exposure and white balance

Shots are balanced where the recorded material allows, with attention to highlights, shadows, colour casts and continuity.

Consistency

Camera and scene matching

Different cameras, lenses, frame rates and event lighting are matched as closely as practical.

Creative grading around the story

The final direction depends on the project: warm family wedding, natural documentary, contrast-led music video or clean commercial finish. We protect recognisable skin tones and important clothing or décor colours unless a deliberate treatment is approved.

  1. 01Reference & display

Creative references, delivery platform and available camera information are reviewed.

  2. 02Base correction

Exposure, balance and technical transforms are established.

  3. 03Shot matching

Scenes and cameras are brought into visual continuity.

  4. 04Look & quality check

The approved direction is refined and checked on representative shots before export.

Colour grading for weddings

Wedding work often moves between daylight, mixed indoor light, coloured stage LEDs and very dark ceremonies. The goal is consistency and emotional warmth without making faces, outfits or ritual colours look artificial.

  • Outdoor couple portraits and drone sequences
  • Mixed-light mandap and stage coverage
  • Low-light dance, entry and reception footage
  • Matching cinematic cameras with traditional coverage
  • Separate highlight and long-form delivery needs

What colour grading cannot fully repair

Severely clipped highlights, crushed shadows, missed focus, extreme compression, baked-in effects and heavily incorrect white balance may not be fully recoverable. Camera-original files and correct colour information produce better results than forwarded or recompressed copies.

A sample test may be recommended for difficult footage. We state limitations after review instead of guaranteeing impossible recovery.

Illustrative before & after

From low-contrast camera colour to a controlled cinematic grade

Realistic illustrative before and after editing comparisonBefore · source issueAfter · corrected finish
Before

What needed attention

The illustrative source has low contrast, a mild colour cast and subdued clothing, skin and landscape separation.

After

What was corrected

White balance, highlights, contrast, skin tone and selective colour are refined while the scene remains natural and believable.

This is a realistic AI-generated demonstration created to explain the type of correction—not a real client before/after and not proof of a specific paid project. Actual results depend on source quality and approved scope.
